AD Get or set the address of the device for networking (0-255).
When more units are connected in a network only one unit may respond at a time, no matter if the network is a 2-wire or 4-wire communication bus. All units listens to all communication and when an OP command is received all devices closes communication and the one having the given address responds.

Setting the LDU address to 0 will set the continuously active mode, where the device becomes permanently active, and will listen and respond to any command on the bus, without the need for an OP xxx command.
LDU Factory default setting : 0.

Setting the address for an LDM has no effect. The LDM get its address from backplane. LDM units always require an OP command.
